Mortgage deeds for owner-occupied homes
\n<\/strong><\/span>Following consultations with your financial advisor or the bank, you sign a binding offer for the amount you want to borrow, the interest rate and any further conditions. In return, the bank will want a right of mortgage on your house. You agree to this by signing a mortgage deed<\/a> in the presence of a civil-law notary. The notary prepares the mortgage deed based on the information you and the bank provide, and checks that all the details are correct and all the requirements set by the bank and Dutch law are met.<\/p>\n

Mortgage deeds for home improvements
\n<\/strong><\/span>Planning some home improvements and need a bigger loan than is covered by your existing mortgage deed? If your bank has provided the additional loan, you can ask a civil-law notary to cancel the existing mortgage deed and draw up a new one. Alternatively, you can have an additional mortgage deed registered.<\/p>\n

Signing the mortgage deed
\n<\/strong><\/span>The civil-law notary will invite you to come and sign the mortgage deed at our office in Eindhoven or Nuenen. Everything will be explained to you and you will have the opportunity to ask questions. We\u2019re here for you, after all!<\/p>\n
